I built a Discord bot that hosts an entire online Survivor season by itself so you can run a league with your friends, no admin needed. Looking for playtesters!

Hey all—I've been building a Survivor game that runs entirely inside a Discord server, and it's at the point where it needs real players to test it.

The idea: every online Survivor game I've seen needs a human host—someone neutral to tally votes, score challenges, etc., which means that person can't play, and there are only as many games as there are people willing to admin them. So I made the host a bot.

That changes what's possible:

  • You can run a league with just your friends—nobody has to sit out to be the producer, everyone plays
  • Games are per-server and fully independent, so any number of leagues can run at the same time
  • Zero mid-season admin work, the bot handles everything

How a season works:

  • /register to join, and the bot sorts everyone into tribes with private tribe channels (it even runs a naming poll for the merged tribe)
  • Challenges are actual skill games on a companion website—16 so far (ciphers, mazes, memory games, trivia, chess puzzles...). The bot posts one random challenge twice a week, everyone plays async on their own time, and scores determine immunity
  • Pre-merge the losing tribe goes to tribal; post-merge the top scorer wins individual immunity
  • Voting is secret (one vote per round, own-tribe-only before the merge) and the bot auto-runs tribal the moment the last vote lands — votes revealed in #tribal-council, player booted to jury or the pre-merge bench automatically
  • Tied votes go to a purple rock draw, obviously
  • Season ends with a real final tribal: the jury votes on the final 3

What I'm looking for: enough players for a test season (the full format is 18 players / 2 tribes / merge at 12, but it auto-scales for smaller groups). Time commitment is low—two async challenges a week, plus voting when you're at tribal. I want to find out what breaks and what experienced ORG players would want added before I open it up for anyone to run leagues.

Join the test season here: https://discord.gg/QgzfJfcTg

Totally a work in progress, so bring opinions.

I built a site with strategy data visualizations on all 893 unique US games (49 seasons, 87 variables per player)—give me suggestions on what else to include

Made this for a high school project and figured this community might actually get use out of it: thetorchsurvivor.com

It's a Survivor analytics site—every castaway from S1–49 scored on 87 variables (vote accuracy, swing votes, deception events per ep, etc). Some of my favorite features:

  • Drag-and-drop radar charts comparing all finalists on strategy stats
  • Dynamic alliance mapping for each Tribal Council of Heroes v. Villains
  • Building out an interview section with former castaways
  • The dataset is built from NLP analysis of 49 seasons of episode transcripts (feel free to download and run your own numbers or let me know what other analysis you would like to see)

Very much a work in progress—what visualizations or features would you add? I'm especially curious what stats/displays could be made with this data that fan sites usually don't track.
