Friends, lovers or enemies?

I am pretty sure my frogs are both male. I got them at about 6 months OOW and I have had them for 18 months, so they are approximately 2 years old. They both look like males (super large heart shaped front toes) but I have only heard one (the more finely speckled one) call. They don’t really fight over food and they sleep together at night but they do love chasing each other around the tank and pushing each other off of things. They are equal opportunity offenders and you can see the frog who is “dominant” in each picture keeps changing.

I’m planning a renovation on their tank soon to add more hardscape to one of the sides and I also want to consider whether I should make any changes to their living situation. Should I separate them? Or introduce a known female (if this would help - I’m not actively seeking more frogs)? Or is this just normal and they are playing? Or maybe the non calling one is actually female 😂😅😭

Feeders

Do I need to provide both hydei and melanogaster flies or can I just pick one? My hydei flies are pissing me off because they keep escaping and take longer to hatch.

Frogs are friends not food

We recently adopted a teenage kitten and she is of course fascinated by the frogs. They seem equally fascinated by her and often come out and stand right by the glass as if to taunt her 😂. There is no way for her to get in so they seem to feel quite secure.

They don’t seem stressed and have plentiful places to hide from her gaze but I was wondering if anyone else had experience with a curious kitty and their frogs.

How do you decide which pieces to do a patina on?

These are two of my favorite pieces I have made (both off YouTube tutorials) and I am tempted to use liver of sulfur to patina them but I’m also worried they will get ruined. They are both labradorite, the one on the right obviously has significantly more flash!
