I'm from Tamil Nadu. I've loved his performance in the handful of Tamil movies he has done and the few Malayalam movies I've watched here and there.
During the promotional interviews, he is so articulate and comes across as a level headed and charming person. But I have no idea about his personality otherwise.
What is his reputation in Mollywood? Is there any tea??
First let me clarify that I'm not doing any negative PR. Also, I haven't watched the movie yet.
Sometime around August 2025, I came across a video in YouTube wherein a man claimed that Karuppu is actually his story. He mentioned that he had pitched this plot to the producer and also provided the bounded script later (hope I'm remembering this correctly). He accuses that the producer gave the script to RJ Balaji and asked him to direct the movie instead.
The guy in the video claims that he did consent to this and that he had put in so much hardwork into developing the script which was stolen by them. He also gave a brief outline of the plot (I don't remember the details now).
Now that the movie has released, I was trying to search this video and I am not able to find it at all! I'm not accusing that this is a stolen story. That guy could be bluffing as well, we have seen certain plagiarism allegations in the past when it comes to big budget movies. I just want to find the video to verify whether the story matches with the outline provided by him.. once I watch the movie.
Anyone remember watching this video? If so, can I get a link please?
