Asking for compensation from production coming for excessive road closures in my neighborhood for a week?

Hello all,

My neighborhood is essentially being shut down for 5 days for a production that is filming. My street that gives access to my driveway is shut down, and every single nearby side street is also shut down. So for about a week I’ll need to park at the closest a half mile away but considering everyone else will be doing the same I imagine I’ll have to park further.

Last time a production company filmed in my neighborhood they gave me and all residents in the affected area a check for the inconvenience. However, that time the craft service was in our driveway so maybe that circumstance was different.

The notice I was given lists the location managers contact info. Is it absurd to reach out and ask what compensation or parking arrangements they have in place for the affected residents? Cause I believe it is the same production as last time so if it is they are filming literally next to my home. I’m not just on one of the side streets I will be directly in the center of this production.

Is this a reasonable ask or will I just get laughed at for asking?

TLDR; Production closing every single road surrounding my home requiring to park at minimum half a mile away for 5 days. Prior production companies have compensated me for this when craft service was in my driveway. Can I ask this time too?
