Grandfather
This is the clone from Mallacht. This was brought to the US by a friend of a friends grandfather who came from Peru 50+ yrs ago and this was the only cactus he brought to the states. It’s a favorite in Many collections including mine.

"This is a seed grown plant, a bridgesii or hybrid of sorts with red and black spines. I bought it around 6-7 years ago from an eBay seller located in Spain who goes by the name of PachanoiPassion. I bought three 3" seedlings and being my first time I thought they were not worth growing, I it don't know any....ig about them, and one turned up a pure bridgesii, the other a Peruvianus and this one it's either a bridgesii or hybrid, I'm now glad glad I grew them.
I named it Lizard King for 2 reasons. It all started as a joke when someone posted a picture of Bruce's Dragon that clearly wasn't, and Mark if I remember correctly told this person that it was not a dragon and looked more like a lizard I thought it was funny, so
now that I have this unnamed melted mutant I thought the Lizard name was cool, but not any Lizard, but a Lizard King in honor of Jim Morrison, one of my all time favorite."
Ime basal pups produce the desired growth for LK. Lean tek works - purposely planting at an angle to force basal stabilization.
