Mistborn book 2's pacing actually makes sense

Almost half way through the Well of Ascension and it's really good so far and even though it's slow it's obviously building toward something and not just holding back a spoiler from you for the sake of shock value so because of that the pacing of this book is (in my opinion) actually good which leads me to my point that it is better paced than "We Were Liars" I did not like that book I gave 2.5 stars it is really childish.

Disclaimer: I am not saying you are a bad person for liking it, and I wish the author and her readers the best of health but I personally don't like the aspects of it, that doesn't mean you are a bad person for liking silly stuff that's why adults can still buy silly string.

I really enjoyed the first book but...

Mistborn book 1 I really liked but the second one so far is kind of a slow to get through. Is it worth it continuing because I heard a lot of people say that "the last 100 pages is so worth it" but does that mean that the other 400-500 (depending on the edition) is just going to be the book jingling keys at you until something finally happens?
