SMRT Engineer

I'm considering applying to SMRT for the role of a Executive Engineer as a fresh grad and would love to hear from current or former engineers about the ground reality.

A few specific questions:

  1. What is the current starting base salary range for local uni fresh grads, and how are the annual increments/bonuses and employee benefits?

  2. For those who left, how transferable are the technical and project skills to other engineering sectors (e.g., manufacturing, infrastructure, aerospace), or does it tend to pigeonhole you into rail?

  3. Is moving over to LTA (or other statutory boards) a common or viable progression path after getting 2–3 years of operator experience at SMRT?

Any advice or honest reviews would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Micron singapore facilities engineer

Hi all, as a fresh ME grad without prior semicon/facilities experience, I’d love to get some honest insights from anyone who has worked in or alongside Micron’s Facilities team:

1)Learning Curve: How structured is the onboarding for fresh ME grads? Is it manageable if you're taking time to pick up industrial plant systems (chillers, HVAC, PCW, scrubbers)?

2)Work Culture & WLB: How is the day-to-day work environment, OT frequency, and on-call rotation like for Facilities compared to fab process/equipment roles?

3)General Advice: Any tips for the interview process or what to expect in the first few months?

Thank you!
