Loveland tried to go with the story that Jim Thompson needed to leave his position (after a pay bonus and retirement increase) due to "emergencies" and "family issues". It now appears as if those might have been desperation, throw money at him to prevent him from leaving given the timeline. Maybe I'm wrong, but that's the way I'm reading the timeline and where he is now. Being hired as the "president and growth manager" of an engineering firm does not sound like a take time to spend with the family type of gig.

While she doesn't go so far as saying to dismantle Flock cameras, she is, at least in this instance, pushing for limitations on its general usage.

Why does this feel so on brand for the current City of Loveland? While services are expanding in other municipalities, Loveland is doing anything and everything to limit or eliminate them.

It would be nice for the facts to come out. Anyone know more to the story?

Looks like Dana Foley is now a resident of Berthoud and looking to get on their town board. Isn't it nice when their only loyalty is elected office and can easily move jurisdiction to jurisdiction within 6 months of losing an election.

Also have the "joy" of seeing Steve Olson running as County Treasurer.

What is odd is the inclusion of the Flock cameras as a point in this article. It looks like Doran is trying to shore up the necessity of their ALPR system as the tide has shifted against them. "Police believed Patterson would try to locate the victim in Loveland, and used Flock Safety cameras to track his vehicle and make an arrest." So the police had no other way to find and arrest him? Maybe its just me, but sounds like a force feeding of the "benefit" of having Flock in the area.
