I want to build a new mobile app, but honestly, I’m stuck on what to make.
I’ve asked AI for ideas, but it keeps giving me the same things. to-do apps, habit trackers, expense trackers, AI chatbots, etc. 😅
I want to build something simple that actually solves a real problem.
How do you guys come up with app ideas? What’s a small problem you have that you wish someone would make an app for?
recently went through Infosys' AI-screened virtual interview process for a React Developer position.
For prep, I focused on what I assumed would be the core of a React Developer screen: JavaScript fundamentals, React concepts , and the usual HR-style questions about experience and background. I also spent time researching how these AI proctoring systems actually behave before going in — specifically things like tab-switching detection, and whether losing window focus for too long triggers an auto-submission of your interview. That's genuinely useful to know beforehand, because you don't want to accidentally end your own interview by alt-tabbing to check something.
The interview had 5 scenario-based questions, and for each one, there was a cross/follow-up question based on how I answered — so it wasn't a one-shot response, the AI dug into my reasoning and pushed back or asked me to justify parts of what I'd said.
On top of that, there were 2 DSA coding questions, both medium level — not the kind of thing I expected for a frontend-focused role, especially under a timed AI-proctored format with zero human feedback as you go.
It's been a while since I submitted the interview and I haven't heard anything back yet — no update, no result, nothing.
Hi everyone,
I'm currently looking for a new opportunity as a React.js, React Native, or MERN Stack Developer. I'm available to join immediately.
