GM is just horrible
Where to begin?
The app doesnt sync to the infotainment like it says it should. So all the planning in the app goes out the window the moment you open Google maps in the car.
I wanted Tesla Superchargers available. Nope. Between the internet and OnStar what ever option was supposed to be available on Google maps didn't exist. FIRST it had to be enabled on the app to accept NACS, then it appears on the infotainment. Yeah, quite the opposite of the first problem i mentioned.
Even though I've selected pay and go on the main charging networks on the app and selected them as favourites in the infotainment, does it ever work? Nope.
Traveling long distance with plenty of charging stations just off the highway - GM suggests going 50 miles off the highway to the middle of nowhere to charge. Is it because they are faster? A favourite? Nope. Just some random station.
Want to charge at a specific time. My home charger allows me to set it up - but, not compatible with GM apparently. Car won't listen to the charging dock. Want to set it up in infotainment, sure - in 2 different locations of course - and it still doesnt work. Set it up on the app - same issue.
Don't get me started on the infotainment screens themselves and the ridiculous, unintuitive steering wheel controls. Who designed this thing??? Just dumb. Although I love the fact I can set up to have the "radio" on my driver screen and on both screens of the infotainment - priceless innovation!!!
I really should of did more research and dived deeper in the infotainment instead of being alluded by the heavy discount on the vehicle, deferred payment, and 0% financing. Not worth the headache in my opinion. Can't wait to get rid of it.
Oh and I almost forgot about the charging speeds. Every other EV on the market (mostly) can do 10% to 80% in under 30mins at top charging speeds. GM, nope. Different speeds for different % of battery. Seriously?!?!
*edit to add charging speed complaint
