What’s going on with my peppers ?
This year I’m growing superhots for the first time and I just wanted some insight. I have a green thumb with anything below a habanero and I’ve heard superhots could be a challenge on depending factors. Lately it’s been raining a lot but has slowed down since last week and the temps have risen to the 90’s
I had ordered a good variety of superhot seeds online but I had started late and nothing germed so I acquired seedlings from about 3 local nurseries.
I had found 1 scotch bonnet , 1 ghost pepper , 1 chocolate habanero , 1 scorpion pepper( in the ground ) and 1 Carolina reaper
All found and transplanted the first week of June with a fair amount of growth since then. Besides funky leaves and wierd new growth.
For soil I’m using fox farm ocean forest and happy frog with added bio char and slight compost with a small mix of jobes 4-4-4 and minimal 2-6-8 In the soil.
I just discovered my chocolate hab being the only one with a small aphid infestation but the others are all clean. Should I be worried and is there something I could be doing wrong ? Other than possible wet feet from the rain is there something I could do to help these thrive ?
About half of what I’ve put in the ground seems to be taking off now but the others are suffering.
Any 2 cents put in is very much appreciated thank you all in advance. ( LOCATION 5b)
