I went from "Venue is enough" to buying a ₹24L Creta… and then regretting it 😂

I'm pretty new to driving and honestly, I don't know much about cars.

I initially planned to buy a Hyundai Venue. It was smaller, cheaper, and I kept thinking, "Why do I need anything bigger?"

But my usage isn't just city driving. I do regular local driving, occasional Palakkad–Bangalore trips, and have to survive Bangalore traffic for a few days whenever I'm there. 😅

After a lot of confusion and overthinking, I ended up buying a Creta Diesel Automatic, with an on-road price of around ₹24.4L.

And then the guilt hit me hard.

"Did I really need to spend this much?"
"Was the Venue more sensible?"
"Did I just buy way more car than I need?"

For a while, I genuinely regretted it.

Then I started driving the Creta.

And honestly… I get it now.

The comfort, automatic transmission in traffic, diesel torque, space and the relaxed highway driving completely changed my mind.

I'm still learning how to properly drive and take care of a car, but after actually spending time behind the wheel, I'm finally thinking:

Maybe I didn't make such a bad decision after all. 😂

Would love to hear from experienced Creta owners — especially Diesel AT owners — what made you choose it, and what should a new driver like me know about owning one?

How are Creta owners keeping the ventilated off-white seats clean without seat covers?

I recently bought a Hyundai Creta (King Edition) with the off-white ventilated seats.
The seats look premium, but they seem to pick up dirt and stains very easily. I don’t want to use seat covers because I don’t want to lose the benefit of the ventilated seats.
For those of you who own a Creta with ventilated seats:
How do you keep the seats clean?
Do you use any leather protectant or ceramic coating for the seats?
How often do you clean them, and what products do you recommend?
Have the seats stayed in good condition after a year or two?
Would love to hear what has worked well for you. Thanks!

Creta Diesel AT getting only 8.5–9 km/l after 200 km. Is this normal?

I recently bought a Hyundai Creta Diesel Automatic (King Edition) and have driven it only around 200 km so far.
Right now, the MID is showing only 8.5–9 km/l at best, which feels quite low for a diesel.
Is this expected during the initial engine break-in period, or should I be concerned? Most of my driving has been in city traffic with AC on.
Would love to hear from other Creta Diesel AT owners:
What mileage did you get during the first few hundred kilometers?
When did it start improving?
Any tips to get the best fuel efficiency?
