If by luck any PMs here dealing with hardware (Servers, racks etc). How are you dealing with the supply chain crunches, sky rocketing costs and uncertainty in covering capacity as a result of these? Has anyone managed to come out on top? If so, how?
P.S: I read the semi-analysis report on these trend forecasts, but the only ones that seem to come on top are the E2E vertically integrated ones.
Has anyone in highest tax rate tried this for their kids or for themselves? How’s your experience been? Did it work out better than the other options?

I bought a 11 years old house last year and got an offer from RACV to purchase house assistance for $5 a month for first year. From next month on it is going back to original cost of $24.
I have not used it so far and am I better off using that money for one off house calls where needed? What’s the crowd wisdom here?
Given how the markets are rolling due to AI, wars, Climate change and a whole slew of other things, I’m starting to think about contingencies in case I become unemployed and unemployable!
Current situation - Family of four, sole bread winner in early 40s and two tween kids in public school. PPOR worth about 1.2 million and still owing 850k. Investments in Australia + super is about 300k. Employer stock in USD at around 300K. Because of overseas work in the past, have investments and assets of around 650k. Total asset of about 1.25 million and liabilities of about 850k.
If I’m to lose my job, have around 100k as emergency funds that will last me about 10-12 months with mortgage payments.
I want to retire in about 12-14 years with assets that would give me a return of 80-90k per year for 25 years (4% model) and paid up PPOR.
I’m already maxing out super and salary sacrificing to meet the carry forward gap.
If you are in my situation, what else would you do?

Edit: To clarify - What I meant to ask is if you are integrating AI into platform stack such as LLM or SLM for business logic augmentation, from logic or request routing to request processing or transformation, handling edge cases etc. Any interesting use cases and/or learnings from such applications is what I’m keen to learn more about.
I have a 1+1 house with the ground bathroom straight below one of the bedrooms. When someone turns on the exhaust fans below, the bedroom above starts vibrating enough to wake up whoever is sleeping there. I removed the vent checked, it is a ducted exhaust fan and I’m not sure if I can DIY something to fix this? The house itself is about 12 years old and exhaust fan does its job fine, just the vibrations being nuisance.
Looking for PMs who create and fine tune AI evals for their products. What has your experience been? Which resources did you use to learn and keep up with the changes?
Saw the summary of Lenny’s podcast where the first point was about the team shipping fast and at a high level keeping track of bad (crashes etc) and sad (UX issues etc) issues.
But isn’t this just plain old metrics tracking in the “legacy” SW+PM world? What’s groundbreaking? What am I missing?
I’m trying to create a general purpose PRD agent for my org, which won’t be commercially released. I’m doing some research on different styles of PRD creation to accommodate those styles.
So far I have narrowed down to below ones:
As most of you would have guessed, it cuts across feature PM, platform PM, junior and senior PM personas, hence defining it as general purpose.
Appreciate if you could share your process of creating the PRD.
EDIT: Seems using agents to write PRD is being conflated with having the agents write it for the PMs, which is not what this is about. It is at the end of the day just a tool like a word processor, just assisting where it can.

Currently super seems like the best investment vehicle for tax efficiency, both via concessional and non-concessional, so start front loading super portion of retirement corpus plan now!
Sell and perform any ETF/share portfolio rebalancing that needs to be done immediately before June 2027 to take advantage of the CGT discounts if you are in the top tax bracket
Invest heavily into PPOR to have your nest be the egg and sell closer to retirement or when needed to get CGT benefit
Investment in Australian dividends heavy and franking credits heavy ETFs for maximum tax efficiency
Keep assets outside of Australia if you have any
