Just got into &team and wow

I’m still in the process of listening to their entire discography, but my first few songs of theirs were Samidare, Yukiakari, and Aorashi, which I think to be tame compared to their usual title tracks?

I’ve been really into this cutesy, youthful style of music lately and &teams title tracks feel like getting hit with ice cold water. I just listened to We on Fire and wow…the song is great, the MV is stunning. Back to Life is good (the MV production looks expensive too lol), and I think so far, my favorite song by them is Deer Hunter and Samidare.

And honestly, my only complaint(?) is that their producers often over process/edit their voices in some songs, which is a shame. I listened to Takis cover of Nekko which did not disappoint. The vocalist of King Gnu Satoru Iguchi, in my opinion, has a unique voice with a high range. King Gnu songs are hardly covered by guys unless its something like AIZO or SPECIALZ, so listening to Taki cover my favorite King Gnu song (and execute it beyond my expectations) genuinely changed something in my brain.

Lastly, their lore looks interesting! I checked out their namuwiki page and it looks like they have a webtoon out and another in collaboration with enha. That being said, at the end of their MV, it says “The Witch of Yerasah”. Is that a different series? And is it something that began under their new label?

Anyways, I’m gonna binge their MVs tonight lol. Thank you for reading!

Engenes are some terrible fans

(I want to preface this by saying I am only talking about SOME Enhypen fans. I’m excluding “some” when talking about fans to make writing easier, I hope you understand.)

I used to be a fan/casual listener of Enha back in 2020-22, and I did watch I-LAND. Now, I don’t know if its because they’re young, have a younger audience, or if its their music style, but their fans are one of the most delusional, disrespectful fans I’ve ever seen.

When Heeseung said the N word, a lot of fans were disrespecting black fans for their demand for an apology on Weverse. The group got so much hate on the choreo which included women, so much so that they had to change it. They hated on Jungwon for saying they’re six, and to respect them as so. And they hated on a fan so much they drove her to death. Are they not embarrassed one bit? Do they not feel any remorse for what they’ve done to that fan?

And the last I checked, those guys have been touring every year since 2022. With a members departure, not only do they have to deal with touring schedules and album preparation, but they also have to deal with fans not respecting boundaries and the barrage of disrespect from a lot of OT7s.

And to add on to Heeseungs departure. I’m sure there are a lot devastated—if a member from my favorite group left, I would be sad myself. But to go on and boycott a group for potentially a members decision lowkey makes me pity the group. The announcement was released, and he re-debuted as Evan. Now, I dont want to assume anything, but it seems like the company is really only seeking group promotions to scale up their commerical success in KR (not saying they’re not popular there, btw). One might’ve wanted to release more solos, but got denied, and so this happen🤷🏻‍♀️ (again, all assumptions).

What’s done is done. Saying “bring Heeseung back” won’t do him nor the group any good. Bring him back with resentment and/or cut ties on the table, and you’ll have one awkward group with one member cast aside. I feel like Engenes are looking at this situation through one eyes only. Most don’t care to see from their pov, even with the little amount of information they have provided. Once again, I really do empathize with those saddened by his departure, but again, there’s really nothing they can do but support them as Enhypen and Evan.
