What’s a hidden gem survival horror game everyone should play? To keep things interesting, Resident Evil, Silent Hill, Alien: Isolation, Signalis, and Crow Country won’t be counted since they’re already represented.

What survival horror game had the best intro? (first 5 - 10 minutes of the game)

We had a lot of great answers for the best quote category, and it was very close. The winner was:

"In my restless dreams, I see that town... Silent Hill." - SH2

Some of the runners up:

"For me, it's always like this." - SH2

"You were almost a Jill sandwich!" RE1

"Monsters? They looked like monsters to you?" - SH3

"Where's everybody going? Bingo?" - RE4

"it´s bread" - SH3

Vultures – Scavengers of Death blends tactical turn-based gameplay with a strong range of survival horror elements.

I received an early preview key ahead of release and ended up having a great time with it.

The game blends tactical turn-based combat with a strong range of survival horror elements, clearly taking inspiration from classics like Resident Evil and Silent Hill while also feeling closer to games like XCOM and Incubation at times.

The game releases tomorrow on Steam (13th May), so if you are a fan of turn-based strategy games, survival horror aesthetics, puzzles, and tense combat encounters, I would definitely recommend checking it out.

What's your favorite indie survival horror game? (indie only, one pick only)

PSA: There was some confusion over the voting system. A lot of people were using upvotes instead of commenting to vote, so I’ve had to correct a few picks. (my fault for not explaining the rules).

Silent Hill is now the most iconic location instead of the RPD, and the Xenomorph is now the favourite antagonist instead of Wesker.

Sorry for the confusion! Going forward, I’ll also be taking upvotes into consideration.
