Here’s a quick look at some new gameplay from Faithless Water.
youtube.comMy Save Room just got a big Community update!
My Save Room Community Update!
Since launching My Save Room, I have continued improving the tracker and have now started expanding it with new community features.
Some of the latest additions include:
• You can now add multiple games
• Choose up to four Favourite Games and display them at the top of your public profile
• Half-star ratings for more accurate game scores
• Faster updates without constantly refreshing the page
• A new Save Room Community page where you can discover other public Save Rooms
• Profile cards showing avatars, game counts, and what members are currently playing
• A Recent Community Activity feed showing games members have added to their Backlog, started playing, or beaten
• A Community preview on the homepage featuring recent activity and public profiles
The Community directory only displays active public profiles with at least one tracked game, and profiles are shuffled daily rather than ranked on a leaderboard. Your existing public or private profile setting is still respected.
You can explore the new community page here:

This is still only the beginning. I would like to continue developing My Save Room gradually, adding features that help survival horror fans discover games.
Here is a short video where I explain the updates:
A brand-new demo for VESSELS: Noiret Mansion is now live on itch
rosenshinegames.itch.ioHorror Genre Tree: Not All Horror Is Survival Horror
Hey everyone I just posted a new article!
This is something I have wanted to write for a while because survival horror is one of the most misunderstood and misused labels in horror gaming.
In the article I look at why survival horror is so often mislabelled and how I separate it from stalker horror and action horror.
The article explains my Horror Genre Tree, why Clock Tower is closer to stalker horror, why Resident Evil 4 leans closer to action horror, and why genre labels matter when people are looking for new horror games to play.
The goal is not to gatekeep, but to make the conversation clearer and explain how I approach the Survival Horror Games List.
I’d love to hear your thoughts, disagreements, and examples.

Remothered: Tormented Fathers Remastered and Remothered: Broken Porcelain Remastered coming soon.

Not Only One Brain is an upcoming survival horror game with Haunting Ground-style mechanics.
My Save Room is now live on Survival Horrors
I have finally rolled out My Save Room, a brand-new website feature.
This is a big update for the website because it is the first feature where users can actually interact with the site, rather than just read articles, browse news, or look through the survival horror game database.
With My Save Room, you can now create a free account and start building your own survival horror game tracker.
Some of the new additions include:
- Track games in your Backlog, Currently Playing, and Beaten lists
- Add games directly from the website database
- Create your own Save Room profile
- Choose a preset avatar
- Make your profile public or private
- Share your public Save Room page with other fans
- Add selected social links to your profile
- Rate games from 1 to 5 stars and help build community ratings on the site
This is only the first version, but it is a big step toward making Survival Horrors more than just a website. The goal is to build a proper survival horror hub where fans can track their games, discover new titles, share their progress, and be part of the community.

Here is a short video if you want to see it in action:
PHASE ZERO – Inside the Making of a Modern Fixed Camera Survival Horror Game
I recently spoke with Krzysztof Tracz from SPINA Studio about the development process behind PHASE ZERO, and what started as a normal interview quickly turned into something much more interesting.
Instead of a standard Q&A, Krzysztof shared a detailed behind-the-scenes look at how PHASE ZERO is being made, including its pre-rendered backgrounds, fixed camera design, Unreal Engine 4.27 workflow, low-poly rendering, occlusion masks and retro-inspired visual style.
PHASE ZERO was one of the games that kept coming up in our recent most anticipated indie survival horror poll, and it is easy to see why. As someone whose favourite survival horror game is Resident Evil 2, PHASE ZERO is one of the closest upcoming indie games I have seen to capturing that same classic survival horror atmosphere and identity.
PHASE ZERO has now passed 100,000 wishlists on Steam, which is a huge milestone for an indie survival horror project and it is easy to see why there is so much anticipation around the game.

Heavy Metal Death Can is one of the most authentic modern survival horror games I have played in a long time.
Hey everyone, my review of Heavy Metal Death Can is up now.
I received an early review key ahead of release and it is one of the most authentic modern survival horror games I have played in a long time. It features a lot of classic survival horror mechanics while also introducing some interesting new ideas like the KLAS, a folding shovel that lets you stun enemies and slip past them without wasting ammo.
The game takes place on a wrecked submarine and focuses heavily on resource management, combat avoidance, backtracking, puzzles and route planning.
The game releases tomorrow on Steam (28th May) and I would definitely recommend checking it out.

The Florist is an upcoming classic survival horror experience, and it’s beautiful😍
What’s a hidden gem survival horror game everyone should play? To keep things interesting, Resident Evil, Silent Hill, Alien: Isolation, Signalis, and Crow Country won’t be counted since they’re already represented.
What survival horror game had the best intro? (first 5 - 10 minutes of the game)
We had a lot of great answers for the best quote category, and it was very close. The winner was:
"In my restless dreams, I see that town... Silent Hill." - SH2
Some of the runners up:
"For me, it's always like this." - SH2
"You were almost a Jill sandwich!" RE1
"Monsters? They looked like monsters to you?" - SH3
"Where's everybody going? Bingo?" - RE4
"it´s bread" - SH3
