Need Advice on Moving to Erie
My wife and I are nearing retirement (we're both 63 and each about 3.5 years away from it) and we're planning on moving to Erie to be near our son. He's close to graduating from Gannon and plans to stay in the Erie area. We're seeking advice on whether to buy a house in a condominium community, or in a non-condo neighborhood (apartment life isn't for us). On the one hand, I worry about rising HOA fees with a condominium; on the other hand, I don't know how expensive landscaping and snow removal will be in a non-condo neighborhood as I get older. Any thoughts/advice would be much appreciated.
