Jennifer Hillier - The Butcher. Started out of order

Started Jennifer Hillier’s the butcher, about halfway through and enjoying so far.

Came across Tik tok where someone referred to it as a 3rd book in a series, I did not realize that when starting it but it seems they can be read as stand-alone, is that correct? Are the two before good as well?

Knoxville for one day / night

Going to be staying in Knoxville for one day & night on a Saturday at the end of the month. Staying downtown. Plan on going to Core Knoxville that night - what’s it like? Good drag shows, is it usually lively?

Looking for any recommendations for places to go, things to do, etc.

Coffee? (Bonus if you know if they are able to do half-caffeinated), restaurants, fun things to do near or downtown? Lmk! TIA!

Throat pain, esophagus, reflux, etc… looking for similar experience

So my symptoms started back in 2020, I was 22 at the time and I’m now almost 28.

I actually had an upper respiratory infection in the winter of 2020, got put on antibiotics… sore throat went away… A few weeks later, sore throat came and wasn’t going away.

Then I started regurgitating my food and liquid. Had a barium swallow, just showed reflux to the thoracic inlet. Otherwise normal. Had a scope in 2021, had mild “healing esophagitis” and was placed on Pantoprazole. Has been a bit on and off with symptoms, being on a PPI helped me but not completely. I described it like it stops the food/acid/whatever, from making its way all the way up but I can definitely still feel it trying sometimes. Still deal with throat irritation. Burping. Nausea (sometimes), loose stools and frequently. But my main symptoms I would say are throat irritation & reflux.

I had another scope after a flare up in 2024 that was completely normal! No sign of anything which is great, but I was still having symptoms. I had a manometry that was normal. 24hr PH testing that was normal acid exposure and events but there was symptom correlation.

My new GI mentioned (in my notes) testing for SIBO, has anyone had similar symptoms and it been SIBO?

TIA to anyone who took the time to read this or share their experience!
