I’m wanting to see the Cape Poge Lighthouse, but my husband and I will be traveling via foot. Is there a way to make it to the area? Is the island worth visiting AT ALL on foot?

My husband and I are visiting in June. We want to visit the west end of the island but taking our rental car over the ferry isn’t in our budget. Any suggestions on how to get to the around the island at a reasonable price?
