Why do Millers consistently get a bad rap? [OTHER]

Played KCD2 first, then the prequel afterwards and noticed that all Millers are consistently under scrutiny for being shady folk.

I mean, it seems like an honest enough trade. And I can't see how milling connects to thieving/etc.

Does anyone know why this is?

Is this historically accurate?

The view that convinced me to replay [KCD2]

Poppies, castle walls, halberds and medieval tents in the distance...

Yup, I'm replaying KCD2 again tonight 😅
