Some background: we both pay $800/month for a 2 bedroom. Her boyfriend has been staying here basically every single night for the past 3 months since he lost his job. He eats our food and takes up the couch whenever he wants to watch TV. I don't mind him as a person but it makes me uncomfortable that he is always home.
Honestly though the worst part is the noise at night. I won't go into detail, but I have to put headphones in to fall asleep.
I brought it up to my roommate and she just said sorry and shrugged it off. She is super non confrontational so I knew she wasn't going to bring it up with him herself. So I texted him directly, telling him to eiter pay rent or leave. She is a very shy person and I'm honestly surprised this is even happening. He may be taking advantage of her but I'm honestly too fed up with the situation to get involved.
My roommate got upset that I went around her and said I made things awkward. I have no idea what to do, he never ended up responding and they've both been ignoring me. I am getting more and more pissed off by the day and btw I have about 8 months left on the lease.
