Chose the option for beneficiary getting titles and then chose nobody, I won the crusade got the land and it moved my capital there too!?!

I guess this isnt how its suppose to work?
After the crusade was called i was defending myself from a jihad and i got the option to create crusader state but the state was for my demesne in burgundy. First i wanted to try out what would happen but decided to not destroy my best part of my kingdom.
Does anyone know why was the event broken?
