What would a language do if some essential word like pronoun fades away because of sound changes?

Like suppose we have a word for I /aj/ But then sound changes turn it aj -> a: -> a .

And the speakers find it too hard to hear and notice this word.

How would it deal with this loss? Would it borrow pronouns from surrounding languages?

How do converbs work in your language?

Basically while an adverb modifies the way a verb occurs: I ran quickly; a converb modifies two phrases since it serves the role of conjunction.

While Turkish has 4, Korean has dozens.

So how do your converbs work and how were they derived? I need some inspiration for my own lang.

Are your conlangs part of some sprachbund?

A sprachbund is basically a geographical area inside of which the various languages (even those from unrelated families) share common features from exposure.

For example:

The Dravidian languages Kannada and telegu of south india have aspirated and breathy stops and retroflex consonants because of Sanskrit and hindustani vocabulary from North india.

My conlang world also had an interesting feature shared by all : use of derivational prefixes to "change the scale" of a verb.

Like turning a "bite" into "nibble" (physical downgrade) derived from an even earlier word meaning small/ little.
