WoTW and Land Before Time

I know this has been said many times before, and in many ways, but the ending of Will of the Wisp has really hit me hard.

I just finished the game last night and today, I’m still feeling really affected by it.

Not so much with Ori’s ending; I actually think that’s more of a transformation to a higher calling than strictly a death.

It’s the way Shriek ended that’s killing me, especially the scene where Shriek seeks solace in her final moments in the only love she’s ever known, in the stone-cold embrace of her parents. The few seconds where she curls up and leans against the stone wings.

This ending is hitting me the same way Land Before Time did (hey fellow elder millennials!), when Little Foot’s mom died and when she spoke to him from the clouds. That’s stayed with me for years (maybe still does).

That’s all; I just needed to put this sadness somewhere. Thank you for reading.

I made the mistake of looking up an airfare 30 hours after I purchased it, and the fare has dropped significantly since. I feel sick to my stomach knowing that I ‘wasted’ about $2,300. The airline’s customer service won’t do anything for me.

Is there any upside to this at all, other than learning very expensive lessons on what I should be paying for this fare (it was my first time purchasing it) and not looking up fares after purchase?
