Hard pass on this yoga studio: WELL NEST CLUB PH!
I’ve heard a LOT about this studio from different teachers & as a fellow yoga teacher myself, it’s the disrespect to the practice & to teachers who studied hard for YTT I’m most angry about. I personally also coordinated with this studio & all what I’m about to say is true with no. 2 also being a similar experience I had with this studio
- They offered a lower salary rate for new teachers (since they are new & “lack experience”). This is the only studio I have heard doing this
- My fellow yoga teacher batchmate was asked to do a demo class on Saturday, but then it got moved to Thursday at 6 PM (she got notified 2 days before lang) On the day of, she realized it was actually a regular class full of paying students. So basically, they had her teach a normal class for free by labeling it as a demo.
- Other teachers I talked to who also coordinate with them all said the same thing — magulo kausap.
I don’t and won’t recommend this studio to anyone—teachers and students alike—until they start treating their instructors fairly. Please think twice before supporting or attending a studio that profits off exploiting its teachers.
Edit: apparently, teachers they like on the onset were given a 30 minute time demo then they discussed schedules & agreements right after. My take was I hope the studio shows demo-rules consistency, which in terms shows respect & professionalism to the industry.
