Boss seems upset I got hired
Hi everyone, I’m in kind of a weird position I’d like to share with everyone. I was recently hired to an internship and was so excited to get started! I started 3 weeks ago and the work itself is great. However, I have three individuals supervising me, two of which have already told me how the interview process for my position went. One of them has explicitly told me multiple times that if things had gone the way he wanted them to, I wouldn’t have been hired and they would’ve gone with another candidate. The other one has made passive aggressive comments about his lack of control in the hiring process and how there were “a few strong candidates” other than myself. I’m extremely grateful to be provided this opportunity, but these little comments take such a toll on my confidence and I’m starting to get some imposter syndrome. Anyone else have a similar experience or advice to share?
