New to roller skating

Hi guys,

I recently bought roller skates and was wondering where I can practice with them. I'm new to this, so my concerns are about having smooth paving - so if I fall, I'll live 😅 Also, I'm afraid of hurting people passing by in case I fall. Thank you 😊

P.S. I know there was a similar post here 5 years ago, but it's been a while, so maybe something has changed

I'm obsessed with rocks 😅

As you can see, I really enjoy collecting rocks for tumbling 😁 And now that I have so many of them, I'm curious: how do I decide which ones are worth tumbling and which ones aren't? Also, I have a couple of big ones, so I'm wondering how to crush them? I only have a regular hammer for nails

My new hobby

Hi everyone 🙂

I'm pretty new to rock tumbling, but I love it so far!

My first attempt wasn't the best because I was following the guide that came with my rock tumbler, so I made all possible mistakes I could. Nevertheless, I'm so excited to continue my new hobby.

Here is my second batch of rocks. I collected them myself, and I can't be happier about the result 🥰 Some of them are back to stage one with fresh grit, and some of them are waiting for step two. They were wet when I took those pictures, so I have an idea how they are going to be when all four steps are done.

I want to share some of my favorites so far ☺️

Also, I have a question. Maybe it was asked before, but I couldn't find an answer. After stage one, I added some Dawn and tumbled them for 3 hours. Afterward, I took them out and cleaned them with a toothbrush. I was wondering if I can clean them with a toothbrush after step four, when they are polished, or will it scratch them and take the shine away?

Thank you for your answers in advance 🙂
