I made an accidental credit card payment ($17,000) instead of my minimum payment, and usually what would happen is the bank would reverse it as insufficient funds, however due to a internal bank error the payment got withdrawn out of my checking account leaving me with a negative $17k checking account balance. The CC is investigating to send a refund check for the payment so I can make my checking account positive again, but worried it will be too late and my checking account will be charged off. Any suggestions?
