Dislocated shoulder mental recovery

Hi everyone!

I recently dislocated my shoulder and while the pain is mostly gone (and the movement is coming) I’m facing mental blocks.

I feel like when I lean against something like the back of a chair the pressure on my shoulder is going to push it out of place. Every time I feel even a little twinge I get nervous. I guess I just want to see if others faced these thoughts and how they got over it/worked on it

Dislocated Shoulder Recovery

I dislocated my shoulder a week ago in a car accident. I managed to pop in back in with minimal effort (I just like moved my arm and it slid back in so that’s good for me!).

I got the doctor’s approval to take my sling off yesterday and started physio today. I’m out of the woods of not being able to sleep due to the discomfort but it’s obviously still sore and restricting. I guess I just want to come here for any advice people have for me!

I’m sort of nervous about dislocating it again by getting cocky (it honestly hurts nowhere near as bad as it did in those initial days but Im trying to remember it’s still fragile and I can’t just resume life as normal).

Anyway, I’m open to any advice or even just stories right now!!

Any tips for this hole in my jeans?

It’s quite small now but when I’m wearing the jeans it’s more obvious and it’s getting bigger over time. Any advice?

Hi everyone!

I’ve just finished my second year and am tentatively planning to write my MCAT after my third year (I.e. May of 2027). I’ve been looking online and getting conflicting information so I just wanted to ask on here!

Is the summer between your third and fourth year the ideal time to apply? I’ve seen online that the schools have deadlines around September for the MCAT, and I’m wondering if that means if I write in 2027, I need them to have my score by September 2027 if I plan to go to med school for 2028.

Sorry if that doesn’t make sense! I’m really just looking for any tips here cause I’m feeling a bit flustered trying to sort this all out
