Is there a way to play without running the timer? I struggle with the hard puzzle every day (I usually play all my NYT games at night). I’d love to be able to start the hard Pips earlier in the day and be able to leave and come back the way I do with Spelling Bee-to take a break and look at it with fresh eyes.
If I press pause, and leave the app (I play on my iPad), will my game stay paused until I get back?
I suppose I could try and see!
In general, I’m VERY slow compared to others in this thread. I usually get the Easy in < 1 min and the Medium in 3-6 min., though sometimes the Medium takes longer than the Hard, ha. But the Hard almost always takes me >10 min. and I almost always need hints.
