Beta testers needed for an app that pauses your audiobook/podcast as soon as you fall asleep.
Hello!
After waking up multiple times to see my audio book had played over night, I've built an app that pauses media as soon as you fall asleep.
It's called Pauzzz.
I use the app myself, and it works like a charm on my devices (Pixel Watch 2 and Fairphone 5), but now I'd like to enlist some beta testers so I can squash any bugs before I share it on the app store.
If you like to listen to audiobooks, podcasts or any other media when you go to bed, I'd love to share Pauzzz with you.
If you're interested, I have a form for sign up here:

The app works with any watch with Wear OS 3.0 or higher, so all pixel watches will run it.
A bit more info:
- Automatic Sleep Detection: Powered by Wear OS health sensors to accurately detect when you fall asleep.
- Universal Media Control: Works seamlessly with Spotify, Audible, YouTube, Pocket Casts, Apple Music, YouTube Music, and virtually any app that supports standard media controls.
- 100% Local & Private: Your health and sensor data stays strictly on your hardware. No cloud uploads, no external servers, no account creation, and zero data selling.
- Activity History: View local logs on your phone to check the exact timestamp when playback was paused.
How it works:
- Open the Pauzzz phone app: This preps it to recieve the pause signal
- Play Your Media: Start your favorite audiobook, podcast, video, or whatever.
- Start Tracking: Open Pauzzz on your Wear OS watch and tap Start Tracking.
- Drift Off: Relax and fall asleep. As soon as your watch detects sleep, it sends a direct Bluetooth signal to pause your phone's audio automatically.
Thanks everyone! Please let me know if you have any questions I can answer.
