I am travelling solo to ooty this weekend. How to travel within Ooty? I really want to visit Avalanche lake. I will be staying in zostel. How can I visit avalanche and Emerald lake without burning a lot of money i.e- hiring a private cab just for a lake?

Do you know if zostel organize visit to lake?

Also, is ooty safe for women solo traveller?
