I've encountered SO many white lotus characters in danmei, but they are ALWAYS, ALWAYS the villain who gets slapped in the face later on.

I don't want that anymore!! I want, no, NEED white lotus MCs, who are genuinely two-faced and very preferable that they use it to gain others' affection.

Like purely white lotus character, who plays the white moonlight VERY GOOD.

I'm honestly getting into modern so showbiz would be so cool... but it doesn't matter! I also love xianxia, so can I have some crumbs?

Ok so, I just finished "The foolish bookworm in the aristocratic boys school" and I swear this is genuinely the best danmei of all time. Do you like:

* modern, high school, transmigration, enemies to lovers, harem, character development (ACTUAL MC character development) and bullying.

The MC is a scholarship (kinda) student and faces bullying in the start, he's nervous, shy and insecure about everything, kinda ugly too.

I swear this novel's second name should be "Ugly Duckling" bcs it's from ugly to pretty. It might seem cliche and repeated when MC takes off his glasses, has a haircut, begins wearing nicer clothes that he becomes a heartthrob but it's done right and is so satisfying to see, because even after he does become pretty, he still kinda gets bullied but that's kinda his motive to do bcs of his system.

And he ends the story as ......... and gets so much better, with the respect and fear of all. (Tearing up)

And there is a total of 3 male leads who each have their own extras with the MC, and their dynamic is so fun bcs the male leads are divided to "concubines" and "main wifes", you'll die of laughing.

Anyways, my fav was Leon, 'the main wife' haha. But seriously this is the best novel that will properly refer classism and all that.

Anyways it's about 2200 pages, but after reading it, you'll find it's too short for a goldmine like this.
