8 months post-op – hair texture question

8 months after my hair transplant (5,030 grafts).
I’m happy with the overall results. My only concern is that the transplanted hair feels dry and coarse after it dries, even though it feels soft right after a shower.
I’m taking 1 mg finasteride daily and 2.5 mg oral minoxidil daily.
Has anyone else experienced this? Does the texture improve over time? Any shampoo or conditioner recommendations?

Almost 7 Months Post-Op – 5030 Grafts (DHI + FUE)

Hey everyone,
In about a week, I’ll reach the 7-month mark after my hair transplant, so I wanted to share an update.
I had 5,030 grafts implanted using a combination of DHI and FUE. Overall, I’m happy with the progress so far, although I know there is still time for further maturation and thickening.
Current routine:
Finasteride 1 mg daily
Topical Minoxidil twice daily
One challenge has been significant flaking and dandruff from topical Minoxidil. Because of that, I’m considering switching to Minoxidil foam next month.
Supplements:
I don’t follow a strict supplement routine, but I occasionally take:
Fish oil
Zinc
Magnesium
Calcium
Vitamin D
Vitamin B12
Photos are attached for reference.
I’m interested in hearing your thoughts on the progress so far and whether the growth looks on track for this stage.
Thanks!

It’s been about 6 months since my hair transplant, so I thought I’d share a quick progress update.

So far, I’m happy with how things are developing. There’s a noticeable difference compared to before, and it’s been interesting to see the gradual changes month by month.

The procedure itself was straightforward, and recovery went smoothly. Since then, I’ve been sticking to a consistent routine with Minoxidil twice a day and 1 mg Finasteride daily. I think consistency has been important for my progress, along with having a decent donor area to begin with.

I’m aware there’s still more time for things to mature, especially over the next few months, but I’m satisfied with where things are at right now.

Feel free to ask general questions — happy to share my experience.
