Recently got the alternator replaced with a used one, has one week warranty

Is there anything I can check/do during this week to verify if it’s good for now? I have a multimeter laying around, but under what conditions and what voltages should i see?

Would appreciate any guidance

Battery issue?

My mother had my car so I don’t have the full details.

Car gave Driving Stability msg, saying brake and drive control system failure. Then she turned the car off. It would not turn back on. Upon trying to restart, screen would give msgs like low battery, steering lock and others.

Upon a jump, car turned on. But the guy who jumped, claimed smoke started coming from the engine bay. And told her to get the car towed to a shop.

What on earth could this possibly be?

Further details: initial message came halfway into a trip. Then steering felt harder. Upon reaching destination, car would not restart. After jump, smoke and weird noises from the engine.

I know real diagnosis will come from codes. But what could the potential issue be?

Beginner progression

So I live in a desert and have a indoor ski slope in my city. I posted earlier about either taking lessons or just going straight in for the slope pass. Literally everyone said lessons, so that’s what I did.

Ok now that I’ve taken them. I really enjoyed snowboarding and want to do more.
I’ve basically learned until J turns. My question is what is the usual progression? As in what should I try to learn next and how much can I learn in a month on a small slope (ski Dubai if anyone is wondering)?
Could I learn tricks and if so which ones should I try first.

Also, what is usually easier/faster to use. chairlift or that t lift thing? Cause, so far the lessons were on a small slope which u just kinda go up on a conveyor belt.
