I’m writing Mockingjay from Gale’s POV
For the past two years, I’ve been writing a fic that follows Gale through the events of Mockingjay, and I just now sat down to start writing the mission to save Peeta. (I am terrible at pacing! Oh my God!)
Finally getting to this point has been a major milestone in my writing, though. It has really reignited my excitement in the piece, so I thought I’d share it. :))
It’s called A Coal Miner’s Lament and it follows narrator Gale from the last day of the Third Quarter Quell to, currently, phase one of the rescue mission.
I know I need to go back and clean up some things (there was a point where I was avoiding ripping dialog straight from the book and it really doesn’t land well) but I’m feeling a little proud of it today!
I’ve got no consistent upload schedule, no consistent chapter length, but I am plugging a long like it’s my job.
