AITAH but for my mom
so I am 14M and I got a sweater today and my mom said we were going to talk and I said ”why” and she said “you know why” and so I’m scared because she enforces very rigid gender norms on what I wear and I lean more feminine so you can imagine how that goes.
My brother 17M has never been denied clothing because he likes a bunch of men’s clothing however I have been denied a lot of clothes because they had either pink or purple or were in a girls store.
She lets me wear perfume but I can never wear any clothes that are “girl clothes.” So I got this sweater and it’s a pastel pink and comfy and you can tell it’s a crop top but I got the biggest size so my stomach wouldn’t show and she said that it wasn’t okay and that we were gonna have a talk about it but my grandma thought it was fine.
my mom wouldn't let me get black nail polish even for my birthday so I’m just sorta at a loss. is my mom the a hole for doing this?
