Has anyone faced issues with accelerated reward points not being credited for Flipkart transactions due to MCC classification?

I recently made a purchase on Flipkart using my credit card, but the bank denied accelerated reward points stating that the transaction was processed under MCC 5699, which according to them does not fall under either the “Shopping” or “Grocery” category.

However, MCC 5699 is generally described as “Miscellaneous Apparel and Accessory Shops,” which sounds like a shopping-related category to me.

I wanted to understand:

1. Does MCC 5699 usually qualify for shopping rewards on credit cards?
2. Have any of you received/rejected reward points for transactions under this MCC?
3. Do banks generally publish the list of MCC codes eligible under Shopping/Grocery categories?

Any suggestions on how to escalate this with the bank?

Would appreciate insights from others who may have encountered something similar.

I have recently got equitas selfe card but could not find any option to select accelerated rewards categories. I have explored there xchange rewards portal but no luck.

PS: I am using their ios equitas selfe version.

Can anybody help me in choosing the category?
