First timer need a lot of help!

Hi I am traveling next week, first time, have a few questions would really appreciate help! I am an anxious traveler but turkey has been a dream for a long.

  1. I land at IST around 1 AM, I am planning to book a direct airport transfer to my hotel. Staying in Faith area. If my hotel is not able to accommodate my airport shuttle request what’s my next best option? I don’t want to use any taxis or public transportation at that hour.
Does booking.com or priceline provide any airport transfer options?

  2. I want to know where locals eat? What places actually worth visiting. I am a foodie and having the luxury of halal food is incredible.

  3. All the meat in turkey is halal?

  4. How reliable is Pegasus airline I have to go to Antalya for 3 days then back to Istanbul for my flight back home?

I would appreciate any advice!!

Thank you 😊

I booked my flights to turkey 2 days ago and just saw the news of wildfires.

I am traveling to Turkey in last week of August for a week booked my flights already we are few friends planning to spend time in Istanbul and Antalya. I haven’t booked any hotels yet, but looking at the current news and wildfires should I cancel my trip??

Turkey and turkish rivera has always been on my list, finally got to book and plan a trip and now this..I am extremely saddened for the people going through this wildfire and also worried about my travel plans being ruined..

Any suggestions ideas?

I hate baby showers.

I hate them so much, I know it sounds so mean but they are a reminder of how incapable I am of ever getting that happiness. I hate them so much I hate getting an invitation it just ruins my day so much, this last week I have gotten 3 invites. Why is it so unfair!!! I want to scream and cry at the same time.

I just putting it here because can’t share with anyone else, even if I tell my husband he’ll say this is very dark for you to say.

I honestly want to stop seeing people who are with babies or getting pregnant, but all my friends have kids the one who didn’t are all pregnant now. I have nothing to add to the meetings or conversations anymore.
