Is It Normal That I Have No Estimated Delivery Date? Landed in airport for 3 days

Hi! I found that my parcel had apparently left Frankfurt on LX86 after the trucking route 6311, though after arrival at the airport (I assume Montreal) there hasn't been an update yet. I assume it will soon be passed to local post aka Canada Post and I will be notified, but I'm not sure how long that takes (it has been 3 days) and I haven't received a waybill or an estimated delivery date at all, meaning I have no clue when it might arrive..which makes it difficult to plan around. I thought all packages internationally would at least have some estimation?

The flight also seems overly short, unless that's due to time zones making it seem shorter than it actually is.

Any clarification would be lovely, thanks! I'd like to at least know if things are alright and when to expect it.

Wanted to double check if I got everything right -- Outland Spousal Sponsorship While Living in Canada with Work Permit + Hong Kong Stream B Application

Hi there! I'm about to move forward with an outland sponsorship PR application once I receive the marriage certificate in a few weeks. I'm currently residing in Canada with an OWP that will expire before of the year.

If I read everything correctly, I'll have to apply for PR and wait for the AOR before I'm able to apply for a new OWP (SCLPC FC OWP) in order to extend my stay, but I worry that the AOR will not arrive in time.

I read on canada.ca's IRCC that 'You can only apply for a work permit without an AOR if you meet both of the following criteria:

  • your work permit, study permit or temporary resident status will expire in 2 weeks or less and
  • you’ve applied for permanent residence under one of the following classes:
    • the spouse or common-law partner in Canada class (SCLPC) as a spouse or common-law partner
    • the family class as a spouse, common-law or conjugal partner (sponsored overseas)' (this is outland, if I recall)

Does this mean that in the event that the AOR doesn't get here in time, I can still apply for an open work permit to stay temporarily? The nightmare scenario is that I wouldn't be able to stay while waiting for the application to process, so I wanted to make sure that I'd be able to, one way or another.

Did I read this correctly?

--------

I also have a backup method of PR which is through my Hong Kong public policy pathway (Stream B), which requires a certain amount of work hours among other things. I intend on applying it through that way too, as I heard that two ongoing applications will not conflict with each other and it'll maximize my chances. When applying for an OWP there, however, am I going for something else? For example a 'extension/change of conditions from inside Canada using IMM 5710', with the category selected is BOWP/open work permit tied to permanent residence processing?

I assume whichever application goes through first will let me work under that OWP? Thanks for your insight!
