Would you be able to identify the type of chain and estimate thickness?

I was at Macy’s some time ago and saw this chain. I didn’t write down the size, thickness or link type. Would anyone here know? I liked that it looked like flat surfaces. I’m guessing its because the links are tight together.

Gold Plated Jewelry

I was looking at buying my first gold chain/necklace, but am still unsure about the purchase. I don’t know if I would actually wear it enough to justify the price. So I am currently considering buying a gold plated necklace (maybe 2) to try out and see how often I would actually wear it. If I learn what I like, I can then spend the money on a 14k gold necklace knowing what I like. Plus side would be that I have the gold plated necklaces for travel or other similar situations. Where would you recommend I buy these types of necklaces? I was seeing good reviews of Jaxxon, but apparently they switched from silver to stainless steel. How bad is that? I also have heard good things about CRAFTD London. Are those any good? For context I was looking for either a Franco 3mm or a Rope 3mm (gold plated). If gold plated jewelry sucks as much as some other posts make it out to seem, I might just buy the cheapest Amazon one’s to see if it’s something I like and then get the real thing. Or maybe go with a 10k gold chain. I actually might prefer the less yellow color and higher durability. Thoughts???
