Keep up the positive vibes, Runnah’s.
I just loaded into Dyer Marsh (Night) as a rook. I was walking around complex (couldn’t hear any commotion from other runners or UESC), and was quickly domed (and downed) by another runner’s sniper. The duo came up on me, and said they were going to revive me. They just wanted to be sure I was cool. After reviving me, they gave me a purple backpack, and let me run through upper complex with them. We got into the loot room, and they proceeded to give me a Drrvish, Gold Shield, AND the Arachne Gold Salvage.
The reason I’m sharing this story is because I wanted people to know that there are REALLY cool runners in this game. It’s not all toxicity and BS. They beat me, fair and square… They didn’t need to give me any of this loot. They didn’t owe me anything. And they definitely didn’t need to be nice to me.
TLDR: I believe that we have a special community here (albeit small). The people that are playing this game, want it to survive. Let’s keep the community positive as much as we can.
And to those absolutely fabulous runners (I hope you’re reading this)… thank you. It’s wasn’t even about the loot for me. I’m appreciative for the friendliness, good sportsmanship, and positivity. May your pillow always be cold.
