A quote from JM on the 4/27 GD Listening Party, presented without comment:
"We are going to kick it off with a Franklin's Tower, that-- there's a little mistake in the very beginning. Now, when I say mistake I mean, it's probably unintentional what Jerry Garcia was doing on the guitar. So in the first few chords of this tune, his fingering on the guitar creates this suspended chord that I listened to and I went, 'that's what I would do if I had one more shot at this.' I would make that kind of my theme, for at least one tune, and then I'd probably start doing it all the time. So if, and when, I ever play Franklin's Tower again, I'm gonna insert this into it as if it were canon. Listen to this little 'buh buh buh da, bup bup buh da--' there's this little suspended chord there, that I went, that is so unintentionally cool."
