Even if Dhurandhar didn’t release, Alpha still would have flopped hard. This is not her forte and she doesn’t seem to ace action genre. Doesn’t matter what industry friends or paid reviewers say, Alia has not reached that stature to pull audience at this scale.
She aced RAAZI and that is her forte, girl next door but capable of espionage/career woman/solo traveller/free spirited girl. That represents a heroine in making, not some template set by the heroines of 2000s.
Alia and Sharvari are sisters but lost parents (maybe someone relevant from war or pathan or tiger series). They are taken by Anil Kapoor but one of them is stolen by Bobby and raised as an assassin, Alia here. Soon she is on a mission against her nation because bobby is a rogue ex indian agent now working for Chinese companies. He is raising an army of artificially enhanced soldiers who will defeat Indian defence system and Alia will infiltrate Indian forces to get him information. Soon she meets her long lost sister and realises she is on the wrong side, and they fight together to defeat bobby and his super army.
They win, they dance on beach at post credits and join Hritik in his next mission.
