Payments Never Posted, Here are Some Options

What can we do about a school who has deceived us??

Unfortunately there is no immediate fix for the situation Maestro College has created however there are paths for recourse and Maestro claims to have set up an "Emergency Fund" for students affected by their mishandling of the situation...If you are part of that group I highly suggest you apply for it...keep in mind the payment probably won't compare to the loans you expected to receive but its better than nothing and can help keep you afloat till you can create a backup plan...goto student services and send a request for more information or look for instructions in your emails..I did not apply for loans so I dont know if there was a blanket email or instructions on how to do this but i saw it was mentioned in a screenshot someone had posted

The legal option

While researching the implications and legal standards for student loans in regards to Maestro i found 2 things...

  1. Eastern Gateway had a similar situation that resulted in criminal indictments in the last week...so file complaints to Dept. of Ed OIG hotline as that is what triggered the investigation into Eastern Gateways fraud and led to DOZENS OF FELONY CHARGES

  2. I also found Kneupper & Covey Lawfirm is investigating Maestro College and looking for student reports to build a class action lawsuit. They have a form at the bottom of the page you can fill out and a phone number you can call for more information...while I did notice they ask if you live in specific states I believe when they finally see the whole picture and how many students were affected across the entire country outside of the states they service they maybe able to direct you to lawyers in your area or possibly bring on additional lawfirms to ensure everyone affected has representation.

I have also started a petition and reached out to both my Congressmen and Senator about my concerns over Maestro College, Maestro University, and Masterschool...we currently have 229 signatures and I believe the more signatures we get the more inclined they will be to see the issues at play here as it speaks to the scope of their misrepresentations and possible fraud allegations...I also fear that as the DOE is being gutted, oversight agencies rely on self reporting, and AI has minimal oversight and guardrails, this situation is likely the first of many more to come...we have the opportunity to alert those in power and speak to our experiences before others carry out similar playbooks...cutting cost be replacing qualified instructors with AI, minimizing curriculum and academic rigor, while drawing maximum Title IV funding...in my opinion Maestro likely isn't the only entity who planned an AI school they were just the first to do, and while some schools maybe learning from their mistakes to present a similar structure to Maestro that meets accreditation standards there are likely other schools with similar motives and intentions learning from Maestro how to deploy a similar playbook and go undetected for longer...and those are the ones Im trying to get ahead of.

Senator Fetterman's office is helping. Help us reach 250 signatures before I hand over our petition

Hey everyone,

Some real progress to share: Senator John Fetterman's office responded to my request and is going to assist with our concerns about Maestro College. I'm hoping their involvement helps push the Department of Education, the Office of Inspector General, and the Attorney General to investigate and share what they know about Maestro.

I'll be handing our petition directly to the Senator's office. Right now we're at 177 signatures, and I'd love to send it in with 250 or more. Every name shows them this isn't a handful of upset students. It's a whole community asking for answers about how our federal aid and our personal data were handled.

If you haven't signed yet, it takes less than a minute:

https://actionnetwork.org/petitions/stop-the-maestro-college-title-iv-fraud-data-exploitation

If you already signed, thank you. Please share it with classmates, former students, and anyone who cares about students being treated fairly.

I'll post an update here once it's been handed over. Thank you all for standing together on this.

Be On the Lookout Out...day 7

As we all know today is day 7 since we recieved the email from Maestro about the June 30th accreditation deadline...this is just a reminder to keep an eye on your email and please share updates either in this thread or on the sub...its likely that different cohorts will get different updates at different times along the 7-10 days timeline and sharing your experience could help ease the worries of your peers during this time of uncertainty and give us all an idea of what to expect.

Today's News from Maestro

The following letter was emailed to the student body This morning and frankly it leaves me with more questions than answers...while the COE has updated their status on Maestro to "Continued Notice of Deficiency" it doesn't say they have lost their accreditation or that they have granted their appeal BUT this letter does state that they will no longer be accredited as of June 30th 2027 and we WILL be able to finish our degrees at Columbia College with more information coming in the next 7-10 days and will be cohort specific...to me this letter hints at a possible "accelerated" course opening as to my knowledge no one working at the current pace will be able to complete their degree in this timeframe...I am Oct cohort and my graduation date is Dec 24th 2027, 6 months after this deadline...

Im curious to get everyone's feelings and opinions on this and what they suspect is happening and what this means to you....drop your ideas, opinions, and questions in the comments.

No matter what the outcome r/MaestroMaybes will remain open and active as requested by our amazing community we have created...I truly feel honored to have made so many friends along the way and look forward to seeing where everyone goes and future accomplishments 💜💜💜

Dear Students,

Over the past few weeks, we have been working hard to create a clear path forward, with one goal in mind: helping you continue your studies and complete your degree.

Today, we’re glad to share an important update: The Council on Occupational Education (COE) has approved Maestro College’s accredited teach-out plan through June 30, 2027.

This extension of accreditation applies specifically to the approved teach-out process and should not be interpreted as a resolution of the College’s separate eligibility or accreditation concerns.

What it means for you

Students who successfully complete their programs by June 30, 2027, under the approved teach-out plan will graduate while Maestro College remains accredited by COE. Students who remain enrolled after June 30, 2027, will not graduate under the College’s current COE accreditation.

Although Maestro College will remain open after June 30, 2027, to provide records, graduate support, and other services, it would no longer operate as a COE accredited institution.

The College has an approved teach-out agreement with Columbia College for students who prefer to transfer. We are also developing additional transfer options and will keep students informed as agreements are finalized and approved. Transfer institutions will make the final determination regarding the acceptance and application of individual credits.

We also want to remind you that Maestro College has withdrawn from the Federal Direct Loan Program effective October 13, 2026, and will complete the approved teach-out without Direct Loans. This does not affect your tuition, as no current Maestro College student uses a Direct Loan to pay tuition or other institutional charges. The College will not originate or disburse Direct Loans after October 13, 2026, and students should not expect disbursements scheduled after that date.

Within the next 7-10 business days, you will receive an update explaining exactly what the approved teach-out plan means for you.

Each student will receive additional information and academic advisement based on their program, cohort, academic standing, and anticipated completion date. The College will contact students directly regarding their individual completion or transfer options.

We understand the importance of this information and remain committed to communicating clearly throughout the teach-out process.

We are grateful for your trust and for having you as part of the Maestro College community. We take that responsibility seriously and remain committed to supporting you throughout this process.

Best,

Shakeitha Sims

💸Student Loan Forgiveness Programs for Legit Degrees💸 (NOT BORROWER DEFENSE OR CLOSED SCHOOL)

Hi everyone...it has come to my attention time and time again that as people are transferring out of Maestro College they are looking at or attending schools that may require students to take out loans....I know that Maestro targeted a specific population that doesn't have trust funds and are generally considered underprivileged so I've been looking at some programs that will ease the burden of repayment and potential pay off your loans...here are the government programs that will help you payoff your debts in exchange for working within your major

1. The Heavy Hitter: Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF)

If you don't want to be locked into one specific job title, this is the most flexible option.

✨️How it works: PSLF forgives 100% of your remaining federal student loan balance after you make 120 monthly payments (which takes 10 years) under an income-driven plan.

✨️Who qualifies: Anyone who works full-time for a government agency (local, state, or federal) or a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.

✨️The Best Part: It’s about who your employer is, not what you do. You could be an IT tech for a public school, a graphic designer for a non-profit museum, or a public defender—it all counts.

2. The Healthcare & Mental Health Fast Tracks

Because there is a massive shortage of healthcare workers, the federal government offers massive payouts for short-term commitments.

✨️National Health Service Corps (NHSC): If you become a primary care clinician, therapist, or nurse and agree to work for just 2 years in an underserved community (like a rural clinic or inner-city hospital), they will pay off up to $75,000 of your loans.

✨️Nurse Corps: Registered nurses and nurse practitioners who work in critical shortage facilities can have up to 85% of their total nursing education debt wiped out.

✨️STAR Program: If you go into addiction counseling or substance use disorder treatment, you can qualify for up to $250,000 in loan repayment for a 6-year commitment.

3. The Educator Route: Teacher Loan Forgiveness

If you are planning to become a teacher, you don't necessarily have to wait 10 years like you do with PSLF.

✨️How it works: If you teach full-time for 5 consecutive years at a low-income elementary or secondary school, you can get up to $17,500 forgiven.

✨️The Catch: To get the maximum $17,500, you need to teach highly needed subjects like secondary math, science, or special education. If you teach other subjects, the forgiveness is capped at $5,000.

4. The Universal Backup: Income-Driven Repayment (IDR) Forgiveness

What if you go into the private sector or start your own business? You still have a safety net.

✨️How it works: You enroll in an income-driven plan (for loans taken out after July 2026, this is generally the Repayment Assistance Plan, or RAP). Your monthly payments are strictly capped based on your family size and what you earn.

✨️The Payoff: If you haven't paid off the loan after 20 to 30 years of making those income-based payments, the federal government forgives whatever balance remains.

5. Niche & State Programs

✨️Lawyers: The DOJ offers up to $60,000 in repayment for attorneys working with the Department of Justice.

✨️Military: Active duty service members often qualify for unique loan repayment assistance through the Department of Defense.

✨️State-Specific: Almost every state has its own localized loan repayment programs for residents who stay and work in-state (especially for teachers and nurses).

🚨 A quick warning for the future: Never consolidate your federal loans into a private loan (like through a bank or private lender). Private student loans do not qualify for any of these federal forgiveness programs!

Drop your intended majors or career goals below, and let's brainstorm which forgiveness pathways might work best for you!

🛡️ Dodging the Next Sinking Ship: A Transfer Guide

💻 The "Free Tech" Trap

Predatory schools know exactly who we are and what we need. Their websites prominently advertise "Free Laptops," "Sign-on Scholarships," or "Fast-Track Degrees" to catch our eye. They use these shiny objects to distract from high tuition and low academic rigor. We all know how Maestro's "free" laptop turned out. Do not let technology bundles blind you to the fine print.

🚩 Red Flags for Predatory Schools

Before you ever get an admissions counselor on the phone, do a five-minute background check. If you spot these hallmarks, walk away immediately:

⚠️ The Corporate Shell Game: Google the school's name plus "owner" or "parent company". If it is owned by a massive private equity firm, a foreign corporate entity, or a parent company that owns multiple schools with different names, it is a massive red flag.

⚠️ Regulatory Heat: Search the school’s name alongside terms like "Federal Trade Commission," "Lawsuit," "Borrower Defense," or "Attorney General". Predatory schools leave a massive digital trail of lawsuits and federal investigations.

⚠️ Wrong Accreditation: Go to the U.S. Department of Education's DAPIP database or the CHEA database to ensure they are Regionally Accredited. If they only hold National Accreditation (like the COE or ACCSC), be extremely cautious, as regional is the gold standard for transferring credits.

⚠️ The ITT Tech Phenomenon: Abnormally high graduation rates (like 95%+) often mean the school is just a credit-printing machine where anyone with a pulse and a Pell Grant is pushed through the system, regardless of academic mastery.

⚠️ The Used Car Salesman: If they pressure you to sign an enrollment agreement today to secure your spot, or focus on your pain points (like being broke or hating your job) rather than the academics, they are weaponizing your anxiety to get your money.

🛑 The Bottom Line

A legitimate university treats you like a student whose mind they want to develop, while a predatory school treats you like a lead they want to close. Take your time, guard your Pell Grants, and demand everything in writing.

What specific schools have you all been looking at so far, so we can run them through this checklist together?

No Batchelors Degree

Im just wondering if anyone else has put the pieces together and come up with the same answers I have?

So with Maestro University on show cause and their inability to accept new students and SARA SPE UT is actively investigating Maestro Universitys financials to prove foreign ownership so they can kick them from their program that allows them to operate across state lines...who will be granting the Batchelors degree? According to my research Maestro College only issues Associates degrees...with no real path left to even obtain a Batchelors degree since Maestro University is now fighting it's own separate battle for accreditation and recognition...and the SARA SPE UT rep i spoke to said she is actively working with the AG on a joint investigation to shut them down...WHERE ARE WE SUPPOSED TO GO FROM HERE?

So we are no longer on a path to a Batchelors degree regardless of what the COE decides today as the Batchelors program is entirely reliant on Maestro Universitys recognition.

Am I the only one just putting this together? And am I the only one who feels Maestro College should have notified us of such a major change?

COE is in Session Sept 10-11

Hey everyone...

I've been a busy bee trying to back up all the documents and information i can...Yesterday I found out that the COE is meeting today and tomorrow (September 10 and 11) to discuss unfinished matters such as Maestros appeal.

What this means for us

We will likely have answers to our most pressing questions regarding Maestros accreditation and where they actually stand in the process...while the COE has acknowledged that Maestro would like to appeal their decision and temporarily put them back on show cause this does NOT mean they have accepted and started their appeal. This meeting is to determine if they will accept Maestros appeal.

If they decided they will NOT accept the appeal, Maestros status will be reverted back to revoked effective Oct 13.

If they do accept the appeal the show cause status will continue while they go through the appeal process...this is unlikely as the COE is on the chopping block infront of the NACIQI in November for reaffirmation. Which had been moved up 3 months so the NACIQI could see how the COE handles this Maestro appeal and the reaffirmation is a rigorous review of the institutions ability to protect the governments Title IV funds...so if the COE doesn't do well they will no longer have the ability to grant a federally recognized accreditation that can draw from these funds.

What you should do right now

While we should have answers over the coming days, possibly upto 2 weeks, usually sooner you should be gathering all your documents and any evidence you may need off of their platform. Many schools, when they recieve the news that their appeal has been denied shut their doors abruptly prior to the COE revocation date, without warning, locking students out of their .edu email and school portal...meaning all the evidence needed to discharge your loans and pursue reimbursement is long gone...trust me when I tell you...YOU CANNOT HAVE TOO MUCH EVIDENCE so if you haven't yet backed up your files or there are conversations of concern with the bot, NOW is the time to take screenshots and back them up!

What you want to document and back up

⭐️Syllabi

⭐️Discussion boards

⭐️Grades

⭐️Student Services chat logs

⭐️Instances where the bot gave you the answers, especially if you asked them not to, or if the bot accepted a copy and pasted answer

⭐️Financial ledgers

⭐️Advertisements

⭐️Rubrics that outline the extra credit and grade padding

⭐️Issues with grading. If the bot graded your exams incorrectly

⭐️Data agreements

⭐️Laptop agreement

⭐️Correspondence with any staff

⭐️Financial aid irregularities

⭐️Al bot chat logs explicitly claiming the school was in "good standing" and concealing the Show Cause order.

⭐️Screenshots of deleted posts on Maestro's official forums and any moderator warning notices.

⭐️unauthorized withdrawal and exit counseling letters generated by the administration.

⭐️Rejection letters or written statements from outside colleges refusing to accept Maestro transfer credits.

⭐️The Maestro College School Catalog

⭐️Ledgers specifically displaying falsified Last Day of Attendance (LDA) dates.

⭐️Device setup screens displaying the MDM software

⭐️Terms and conditions as well as media releases

Yes it is a lot but get what you can while you can and we will be working to update the evidence vault with as many docs as we can while the situation unfolds if you need assistance dont be shy, reach out!

Call to Action

Hey everyone...

I just got my formal response from THECB (Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board AKA SARA SPE TX) and while they have taken action it was merely a slap on the wrist by imposing sanctions which the COE has already imposed like halting their enrollment and placing them on provisional status in response to Maestro Colleges gross misrepresentations of their unapproved Business program and falsely marketing a direct pathway to Maestro University that DOES NOT EXIST for any Maestro College student...

That being said I am asking for the communities help...we need to file more grievances with THECB

I know it is a daunting task so I am here to help! I am 100% willing and prepared to help you with this task by aiding in writing your actual complaint and helping you compile the evidence needed to file...there are however a few prerequisites required to file.

You must have filed a grievance within the school prior to your complaint with THECB

If you have not done so yet, but would like to take part in this "call to action" I am also willing to assist with this as well.

You must reside OUTSIDE of Texas as the THECB only handles distance education.

If you meet this criteria youre good to go and we can start the filing process...it is important for the THECB to know that the issues we've been having are not one off flukes but a widespread pattern of behavior affecting a majority of the students at Maestro College.

Interested students can either drop their core complaints in the comments or DM me directly to get started and I will do whatever possible to make this as easy as possible for you to have your voice heard and have Maestro College held accountable

🚨 PSA: Fake Data Breach Article Circulating (And an update on the REAL leak) 🚨

I want to clear up some misinformation that's been floating around. Some of you might have stumbled across a terrifying article from a site link to article claiming that Maestro College suffered a massive ransomware attack exposing 42,000 SSNs, FAFSA records, and passports.

Please do not panic. The article is 100% fake.

I dug into this, and here is the smoking gun: the article was published in August 2026, but it describes the breach happening on "September 16, 2026," the FBI seizing servers in "October," and notification letters going out in "November." Unless they have a time machine, it's completely fabricated not to mention the article is published out of Nigeria and as a student who started last October this is the very first I am hearing of it so it isn't just the wrong year or something silly like that.

Because we’ve been making noise online about the very real administrative issues going on right now, search engines have seen a spike in the keywords "Maestro College data breach." This site just used an AI generator to scrape those keywords and spit out a hyper-dramatic, fake story to farm clicks and ad revenue from stressed-out students. You do not need to freeze your credit or lock down your IRS PINs because of this article.

The REAL Leak:

That being said, please don't forget about the actual breach we’ve been dealing with—the unredacted 54-page administrative document that got exposed.

If you are worried that your personal information was included in that specific 54-page doc, please send me a DM directly. I have the details and can check to see if you were affected so you know exactly where you stand.

Stay vigilant, and don't let these spam sites stress you out more than the administration already is. My DMs are open and I check them often.

Shakietha Sims resume: just a coincidence or part of the plan?

If you look closely at her background, her professional history reads like a roadmap of the for-profit college crisis in the United States.

Before she transitioned into executive leadership at Peloton and Maestro, Sims spent over 15 years specializing in student finance and accounting. The major red flag is that nearly every institution she worked for in a financial aid capacity became the subject of massive federal fraud investigations.

Here is a deep dive into the trail of predatory institutions in her work history:

  1. Everest College / Corinthian Colleges (2004–2007)

Sims began her career as a Financial Aid Counselor at the Windsor Campus of Everest College. Everest was one of the flagship brands of Corinthian Colleges, a massive for-profit network that famously collapsed after federal regulators proved they were systematically falsifying student job placement data. This deception was specifically used to deceptively maintain the school's access to federal Title IV funds.

  1. ITT Technical Institute (2008–2010)

Following Everest, she moved to ITT Tech as a Senior Financial Aid Coordinator. In this role, she was responsible for managing student financial aid packaging, reconciling loan accounts, and reporting on financial activities. During this exact era, ITT Tech was engaging in the systemic, predatory lending practices that eventually led to its total shutdown.

  1. Fortis Institute (2013–2015)

Sims then worked as a Financial Aid Advisor for Fortis Institute, where she determined financial aid packets and managed cash flow control. The parent company of Fortis later settled massive False Claims Act allegations with the Department of Justice. The charges? The illegal manipulation of federal student aid to maximize corporate profits.

  1. Peloton & Maestro College (2016–Present)

After building her career in the financial aid departments of these heavily penalized networks, Sims transitioned into overarching operational management. In November 2016, she was hired as the Campus President of Peloton College (where she also served as Title IX Coordinator). When Maestro bought Peloton to bypass the accreditation process, they kept her in power as Campus President.

The overarching red flag isn't just that she worked at these schools—it's what she did there. Her entire foundation in higher education was built in the financial aid departments of schools that were dismantled for federal financial aid fraud.

The Maestro College Miracle: How to Survive a Whistleblower Lawsuit and Keep Your Job 🤯🎓

Let’s talk about the skeletons in Maestro College’s closet—specifically, the ones labeled "Peloton College."

Before Maestro became a massive online school, it was a traditional brick-and-mortar trade school called Peloton College. Maestro essentially bought Peloton to instantly acquire its national accreditation from the Council on Occupational Education (COE). It was a corporate shortcut to legitimacy.

But Peloton College came with some serious baggage.

In July 2019, two former employees filed a qui tam (whistleblower) lawsuit against Peloton College (Boyd-Holsinger & Matthews v. Peloton College, LLC) under the False Claims Act. The whistleblowers alleged that Peloton was engaged in systemic federal aid fraud. According to the lawsuit, the school was accused of enrolling unqualified students, falsifying student records, and illegally retaining federal Title IV funding that should have been returned to the government.

Instead of a very public trial, a federal judge granted Peloton's motion to compel arbitration in June 2021. Because the employees had signed mandatory binding arbitration agreements, the case was forced behind closed doors and settled confidentially. There was never a public legal judgment confirming the fraud.

You would think that when Maestro bought the school to leverage its accreditation, they would have completely cleaned house to protect their investment.

Nope.

Maestro kept the existing administration in place. Suzann McDowell, who served as Campus President for Peloton College, and administrator Shakietha Simms remained at the helm. The exact same leadership team that oversaw the school during the whistleblower allegations and the federal fraud lawsuit was kept on to run Maestro.

Fast forward to today: Maestro College is currently under a severe "Show Cause" order from the COE and is actively banned from enrolling any new students. They are in massive trouble for violating the COE’s requirement that at least 25% of enrollment must come from traditional campus-based instruction. The accreditor also called them out for failing to properly disclose their probation status to students and having inconsistencies in monitoring online assessments.

Different school name, different regulatory nightmare, but the exact same administrators running the show.

Make it make sense! 🤷‍♀️

How Maestro would look if they did it right...

Hey everyone...

I've been thinking about lot about everything that has unfolded over the last few months and I'm curious to get everyone opinions...While Maestro had many shortcomings I believe we can all agree that there were parts of this experience that were promising and that we enjoyed...so it got me thinking about what Maestro would look like if they did this right...so wanna know what your vision of an AI lead legitimate school would look like to you? Also tell me, what you feel they got right?

It's been pretty visible to at least the mods that Maestro does monitor this sub so you never know...they may be taking notes 📝 and maybe just maybe they will see the changes needed and implement them in future ventures as it seems they are trying to remain in the education industry.

For me i would've love to have seen a direct channel to engage with professors and ask questions...even if they dont respond immediately but say they responded in 24 hours or less...I also would've liked to have seen content generated by the school for our specific classes, not free access YouTube videos...as well as a library of the content that they use in your lessons...I also would've appreciated a human advisor that helps you navigate any issues during attendance like financial aid, course planning, tech issues and professional development...and last but never least, transparency would've improved the overall situation by leaps and bounds as I wholeheartedly believe that had they been the ones to disclose all the information cover in this sub and not in r/Maestro, we would've interpreted and handled the facts differently...its OK to make mistakes, but it's not OK to hide them or deny them while watching the community you were meant to serve struggle to make sense of it all.

PSA: Why falling for a predatory school makes you a target for more

Hey everyone,

I want to talk about something that doesn't get discussed enough in student communities: the trap of predatory schools and for-profit diploma mills.

There is a really toxic stigma that if someone falls victim to an educational scam, they must be gullible or lacking intelligence. This is completely false. If you fall victim to a predatory school, statistics show you are actually much more likely to be targeted again. It is not a sign of stupidity; it is a highly coordinated, targeted act of victimization.

These organizations use aggressive, psychologically refined tactics designed to exploit your ambition, optimism, and legitimate desire for a better life. Once they have you, the system is rigged to keep you in the cycle.

Here is exactly why repeat victimization happens:

* You become a commodity on "Lead Lists": The second you interact with or enroll in a predatory program, your contact information is flagged as a highly valuable lead. These lists are bought and sold among other low-quality, for-profit institutions. You aren't just getting unlucky—you are actively being hunted and bombarded by their marketing.

* The Credit Transfer Trap: This is one of the most vicious cycles. Credits from unaccredited or predatory schools almost never transfer to legitimate community colleges or state universities. Do you know who will accept those worthless credits? Other predatory schools. They use the illusion of "not losing your progress" to draw you right back into the trap.

* The Secondary "Recovery" Scam: Victims of predatory schools usually walk away with heavy debt and no degree. Scammers know this. You become a prime target for fraudulent "student loan forgiveness" or "tuition recovery" services. They often pose as government agencies and promise to erase your debt for a large upfront fee.

* Financial Desperation: In victimology, there's a concept called "state dependence." The first scam changes your life circumstances—leaving you with massive debt and no career advancement. That resulting financial desperation makes the aggressive, "fast-track" promises of a second predatory program seem like the only way out.

If this has happened to you, give yourself some grace. You were targeted by a system built to exploit students who are trying to better themselves.

Let's look out for each other. If you're ever unsure about a program or school, post it here so we can vet it together.

Another Option for Transferring

I just wanted to announce that their are options out there if you have decided to start looking elsewhere...I found MIU, Maharishi International University...they are regionally accredited by the HLC and will likely accept 100% of Maestro credits, they allow you to build your own degree so you can build on the credits you already have...they also provide 97% of first year students with scholarships to help cover tuition...so far it seems to be a cheaper option that Columbia or Davenport...however there is one aspect of this school that you must be aware of if you are considering MIU...they require daily Transcendental Meditation (TM) if you dont know exactly what that is that's ok as well as they give you a grant before you're officially signed up for class to go to a local TM teacher in person or hybrid (normally $980)

I know a lot of chose Maestro for an alternative learning environment...MIU also doesn't use the traditional A-F grading but instead do pass or fail with narrative feedback...they will convert that to letter grades if needed for a masters program or transfer elsewhere...their classes use introspection to connect you to the lesson learning from within instead of through traditional text books.
