A realistic Polaroid-style camera app called PolaCam+.

I previously built an app called PolaCam+ for iOS and Android.

It came from a pretty simple observation: most “retro camera” apps today are basically filters. They can make photos look film-like, but they don’t really feel like using a real instant camera.

So I tried to focus more on the experience than the effect.

When you take a photo, it appears in a Polaroid-style frame with film grain, light leaks, dust, and other imperfections. There’s also shutter sound and haptic feedback to make the capture feel a bit more intentional.

After taking a photo, it doesn’t just go into a grid. It shows up more like a physical print on a surface. You can move it around, rotate it, resize it, and flip it over.

On the back, you can add notes, titles, or small memories related to that moment, using handwritten-style fonts in multiple languages.

Compared to apps like Huji Cam or Dazz Cam, which mostly focus on filters, this is more about the overall “feeling” of instant photography rather than just the look.

It’s free to download, with a $9.99 lifetime unlock that unlocks all film styles and full features.

A simple Things 3-style task manager with real-time collaboration and image attachments.

Demo

App: Nodoo

Price: Free

IAP: No

Subscription: No

App Store: [AppStore]

Most task managers are either too simple or too complex.

Simple apps work well for personal use, but they usually don’t support real collaboration.

On the other hand, tools like Notion or Jira are powerful, but they feel heavy and require setup for something as basic as task tracking.

I wanted something in between — simple enough to stay fast, but still usable for small team collaboration.

Comparison

Compared to Notion or Jira:

Notion is flexible, but often overkill when you just want to manage tasks.
Jira is powerful, but too heavy for small teams or personal workflows.

This app focuses on staying lightweight and simple, closer to Things 3 in feel, but adds real-time collaboration so multiple people can work on the same task list without setup.

It also supports image attachments directly on tasks when extra context is needed.

P.S.

This is still early and there may be bugs.
If you try it, I’d really appreciate any feedback.

Turn your notch into a Launchpad, and reduce Dock clutter.

macOS 26 removed Launchpad.

For many users, a familiar way to launch apps is suddenly gone.

So we built an alternative: turn your Mac’s notch into a fast and accessible Launchpad.

No need to open Launchpad. No need to sacrifice Dock space. Keep your favorite apps right in the notch area and launch them instantly whenever you need them.

Look up. Click once. You’re in.

Turn your notch into a Launchpad,
and reduce Dock clutter.
Everything you need, all in NotchSpace!

A lightweight macOS/iOS task manager with real-time collaboration built in

I finally finished a project I started years ago.

It was a messy side project I kept using for myself, but never finished.

With the help of AI, I finally shipped the last mile.

Meet Nodoo — basically a multi-user collaborative version of Things 3.

What Nodoo is

A minimal task manager with:

  • Fast task capture and clean organization (GTD-style workflow)

  • Native macOS/iOS experience with no clutter

  • Real-time sync across devices

Collaboration (core feature)

Collaboration is not an add-on, but built in from the start:

  • Invite others into a project

  • Edit tasks together in real time

  • See changes instantly

  • No setup, no integrations, no workspace configuration

It feels more like a shared space than a traditional to-do list.

Nodoo started as a small indie project because I wanted a tool I could actually use every day — something lightweight, but still capable of real teamwork.

I’d appreciate any feedback, especially from people who work both solo and in teams, or care about simple but effective productivity tools.

Does this kind of lightweight + collaboration approach fit your workflow?

Turn Your Mac Notch into a Smart Temporary Workspace with NotchSpace

https://reddit.com/link/1twgz7x/video/a455wh96005h1/player

App: NotchSpace
Price: Free
IAP: No
Subscription: No
App Store: [AppStore]
Built with: Native SwiftUI/AppKit

If your desktop, downloads folder, or chat apps are constantly cluttered with temporary files, images, links, or code snippets… you might want to check out NotchSpace.

It transforms your Mac’s top notch into a lightweight, elegant, and instantly accessible storage space. Just drag anything in—files, images, text, videos, links—and it’s safely tucked away but easy to retrieve anytime.

I experimented with apps like Dropover, Dropzone, NotchNook, and NotchShelf while building NotchSpace. Most of them focus more on desktop shelves, automation, or widgets, while I wanted something lightweight and native — a temporary workspace in the Mac notch for quick drag-and-drop workflows, temporary storage, and keeping the desktop clean.

Why I built it:

  • For designers & developers: Automatically formats code snippets and generates color cards from HEX values.
  • Multimedia at your fingertips: Syncs with Spotify & Apple Music; control playback without leaving the notch.
  • Fast image compression: Shrinks files locally, strips EXIF data, lightweight and fast.
  • Native Mac feel: QuickLook support, minimal system impact, no Electron bloat.
  • Vibe coding alert: A starry fullscreen reminder pops up after long work sessions to nudge you to take a break.

It’s like having a tiny, smart assistant living in your notch, keeping your workflow clean and smooth.

Also tried hard to keep it feeling native to macOS:

  • Built entirely with SwiftUI/AppKit
  • Only ~3.4MB
  • QuickLook support
  • No Electron
  • Very minimal resource usage

Would genuinely love feedback from fellow Mac nerds here.

I kept running into the same problem:

- I just wanted to jot something down quickly

- But I had to open a notes app every time

- And switching between windows kept breaking my flow

So I built a small tool for myself: Enote

The idea is simple:

- Notes stay directly on your desktop (like real sticky notes)

- You can drag, resize, and place them anywhere

- Supports Markdown

- Always visible when you need it

Basically:

"Capture thoughts instantly, without breaking focus."

Still improving it — would love any feedback 🙏

I built a Mac translator that works anywhere — even in apps where text isn’t selectable

Hey folks,

I made a small macOS tool called ETranslate because I was constantly switching between translation tabs while reading docs or app UIs in other languages.

The tricky part was that some macOS apps don’t even let you copy text — so I used OCR to make translation work everywhere.

It currently:

• 🔍 Translates instantly by drawing a box around text

• 🧠 Works even on uncopyable text (via screen capture + OCR)

• 🔊 Reads aloud both the original and translated text — supports 20+ languages (English, French, Japanese, Chinese, and more)
