Cathay Pacific exchange my flight to a different day with less than a few hour notice
Hello,
I am writing to express my concern regarding a recent change to my flight itinerary. I was scheduled to depart on May 18th, but I received an email today informing me that my flight has been rescheduled to the previous day. This change is unacceptable as I had already made arrangements to travel to San Francisco on the 18th.
Furthermore, I was informed that I would be responsible for paying a $1200 fee to change my flight to the new date. The only alternative flight available is approximately two weeks out, which conflicts with my plans to visit my family during the holidays.
This is the second or third instance in recent memory where my flight has been canceled due to minor reasons. I am particularly frustrated because I had previously planned to travel to Dubai or Qatar, but these flights are currently unavailable or prohibitively expensive through Singapore Airlines.
I have repeatedly requested that my flight be changed to the new date, but my requests have been ignored. I am considering filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Are there any other options available to me?
