Have the stories started coming out of vibe coders getting jobs without knowing how to code yet??

I have had many interviews in my 25 years as a software dev and a few of them were managers only and never even asked me anything technical. So I imagine some vibe coders have pulled it off getting an interview and showing what they created and managing to never talk about code and they just assume the person knows code. Then they see how long they can fake it (or not fake it since if they get the work done who cares)

On a related note.. As a .NET dev I always apply to only .NET jobs but there really is no reason anymore I can't get a java job and understand the general idea and have AI do the technical work.

I am confused. What is the best monthly subscription LLM model that work with vscode GHCP ?

I stumbled upon minimax m3 and use that.

I would rather use codex of Claude code but is it true that for these you must use their plujgin and not the vscode GHCP one?

And in minimax the best option? Is there something better ? Of course I want a monthly subscription not pay by token

Anyone else at a job where people are still pretending AI coding does not exist ???

Joined job a year ago. Any time I mention anything AI coding related people get quiet. When people are talking about code they talk about it in a way like they hand code every line and point out lines of code and question them. So I quietly get things done really fast. For example, today the boss says.. Go click through every page in the app and make sure the new left nav works.. So everyone I guess will manually do this while I write a quick prompt in VSCODE agent browser to go check every page and send a report.

I think it is a unique time since this could not last forever and it is easy to look good for most tasks completing against people still hand coding. I wonder about what else I can do to impress the boss.. I went ahead and have the web apps top 10 vulnerabilities that I could pretend like I discovered myself.

Or maybe everyone is using AI and just wants the slow pace to continue of how fast they have always been expected to work
