"Where you gone that you been so long, I wanna know." I miss Peoria.

"Where you gone that you been so long, I wanna know." I miss Peoria.

I grew up in Peoria - Mid 80's to the Mid 10's. The Peoria Public school system sent me on a journey. Sometimes I watch youtube videos of people driving through Peoria just to embrace the nostalgia. My dad still lives there because the house he bought in the 80's hasn't appreciated enough to be able to sell and move somewhere else. I have had weird dreams where I just know it's in the area down the hill on Resevior before you hit Southport. Is the Pizza Works still there on Prospect? I bet the car repair place in front of Northwoods is torn down by now. Is Avanti's still going strong? How about the Steak 'n Fries in Campustown? Do you still call Pekin "Pe-kkk-in?"

My 'Visual Cacophony' of a Neera, Wild Mage deck:

This is my Neera, Wild Mage deck, the newest (and 12th) deck in my roster: https://archidekt.com/decks/18422272/magic_pixie_wild_deck

  • The hook for this deck is that I want it to look crazy.
    • Ulitimately, I don't want to use the same *exact* frame twice, but right now I'm making plenty of exceptions for my basic lands and old border cards.
    • I'll gladly take ugly frames ("How you doin' Count on Luck?").
    • And as someone who doesn't run UB cards in any of his other decks, they're on the table for this deck.
  • The couple times it's won so far, it won by grinding value out of 'whenever you cast' triggers (especially since the card Neera flips is a second cast). Token generation, card selection, and spell copying seem to be the avenues I'm currently going down.
  • I probably need way more 1 (or 2) mv instants, so I can trigger Neera on my opponent's turns too, once that engine is running.
  • Darksteel Colossus is about as mean as I want to get top-end creaturewise. No Blightsteel, No Eldrazi titans, etc.
  • Counterspells are kind of pointless in here, right?
  • I have 15 cards tagged red as 'First cuts,' but the gold tagged ones aren't untouchable.
  • I get most of my stuff through CardSphere, and it's currently at $140 Card Market cost, and $200 is probably the ceiling.

Looking forward to whatever suggestions anyone has to offer.
