I'm halfway through my huge butterfly shawl and doing a quick blocking of the edges

I complained about all the yarn tangles with intarsia earlier. I now finished the first half of the shawl and it looks great. I even tortured myself with doing intarsia on the small white dots to keep the back neat. The pattern calls for stranded knitting on the small dots. It's all going to be worth it in the end.

I'm not sure how I'm going to block it when it's done though, it's huge already. I need more blocking mats 😅

I have 1½ months to do the other half if I'm going to give it to my grandma when I see her. Otherwise I have to mail it to her later. I have vacation time coming up so it's not impossible to get it done on time, but I won't stress to much if I won't make the deadline

People actually enjoy knitting intarsia? I'm juggling five orange and five black strands of yarn

I'm not the biggest fan of intarsia, but this pattern is absolutely perfect for my grandmother and she turns 85 soon. The shoebox helps with organizing but it's still tangling horribly if you just look at it wrong 😋 it's just not a relaxing project, I need to focus way too much on everything going on. It's worth it though. So far it looks great and I know she'll love it.

I hope I can get it done for her birthday, so far I'm about a quarter of the way there and I would like to give it to her in the middle of August. It might be a very tight deadline but at least I know what I'm doing with my upcoming vacation time 😅

I got this frog planter (?) thing at a charity shop for ~$2, I love him

I'm not sure what it was made to be, the angle is a bit weird to have flowers in but he looks adorable with the big flower in his mouth.

Auto moderator is telling me that I might be posting about an injured frog and to mark it NSFW. He IS a bit injured. A rake fell on his head but I do think that you can handle it anyways 🐸

I knitted a frog for my cousin as her graduation gift

She's graduating high school and I couldn't think of a good gift to buy her, so I knitted this little guy and gave him a little bow. It's tradition to use the yellow and blue ribbon for high school graduation here in Sweden and he looks good in it 🐸

Depending on how much my garden flowers have grown he'll either sit in, or hold on to a bouquet too.

It's the Frog pattern by Claire Garland knitted in Drops Fabel held double.
