WOFT

Hey guys, I’m wondering what makes a competitive applicant for getting picked up as a warrant officer Pilot in the army guard.

As of now I’m a E5, been in 5 years and have my PPL+IR and am taking my CPL and MULTI check-ride this month. ASSLT school grad. Not sure if any of that really matters tho. From what I can tell online prior flight experience doesn’t really matter?

What does matter? What can I do to separate myself from the rest? Also It’s been my dream to be an airline pilot ever since I was a kid and that’s my ultimate goal at the end of the day.
The market for CFI’s isn’t great atm so I figured getting the R-ATP at 750 as well as the flight hours from Rucker would boost my career path to being an airline pilot. Does anyone have any experience doing both airlines and guard? Does that work well or is that hard to do?
Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
